Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Thingaroo Vertica, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

2. Description of Service

Thingaroo Vertica provides a building-scoped digital notice board and verified resident marketplace. Building managers can publish official notices, verify residents, and approve community posts. Residents can browse official notices publicly and participate in community posts after verification.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account and use Thingaroo Vertica.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of all photos, descriptions, and other content you submit to Thingaroo Vertica ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, display, and process that content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the service.

You represent and warrant that:

• You own or have the rights to the content you submit
• Your content does not violate any third-party rights
• Your content does not include illegal or prohibited items

5. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use Thingaroo Vertica to:

• List stolen, counterfeit, or illegal items
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the service without permission
• Impersonate any person or entity

6. Listings and Pricing

Listing prices, suggested prices, parking rates, storage rates, or related marketplace information are provided for convenience and informational purposes only. Thingaroo Vertica is not responsible for decisions made based on this information.

7. Marketplace Listings

Thingaroo Vertica may facilitate connections between buyers and sellers but is not a party to any transaction between users. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of items listed, the accuracy of listings, or the ability of sellers to sell or buyers to pay.

8. Building Admin Subscription

Building Admin is billed monthly per building through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges until you cancel through the billing portal. Resident access remains free.

You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds for partial periods are not provided unless required by law.

9. Intellectual Property

The Thingaroo Vertica service, including its design, software, and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of any part of the service without our express written permission.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Thingaroo Vertica is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Thingaroo Vertica and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the service.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms or for any other reason with or without notice. You may request account deletion by contacting us.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of Thingaroo Vertica after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
